Fixed price or surprise bill - how does Joylo actually charge?
The monthly plan price is fixed. The only variable cost is AI credits - the compute Joylo spends generating or changing code. Credits don't roll over, but if you run out mid-month new builds just pause; apps already deployed keep running until you upgrade or buy a credit pack. Human help is fixed-price too: Expert Assist is $500 for 10 architect hours, not an hourly rate that grows on you.
What does it cost to fix an AI-built app that's already broken?
The real cost of vibe coding is not the subscription, it is what breaks in month three. Expert Assist puts a named in-house engineer, not a freelancer marketplace or a forum thread, on the fix for a flat $500 for 10 hours with a 24-hour response SLA. It is an optional add-on on Solo Builder and Starter, and included as dedicated hours on every Co-Build plan.
What is covered on every plan, and what turns into technical debt if I skip Expert Assist?
Every plan, including Free, runs the AI Confidence Score on every build, an automated audit covering scalability, security, reliability, integrations, and code quality. What self-serve plans do not review by default is the human-side work that otherwise piles up as technical debt: certified architect review, database schema review, CI/CD setup, and production incident support. Those come with the Expert Assist add-on or a Co-Build plan.
What happens when the AI gets stuck and can't fix its own mess?
You engage Expert Assist. A named in-house engineer who can already see your codebase, so you're not re-explaining the project to a stranger, picks up bugs, security issues, deployment problems, auth, payments, or scaling, and hands back a deployment-ready app within the 24-hour SLA.
Who owns the code Joylo builds - and can I take it elsewhere?
You get the code in your own GitHub on every plan. The more useful question is how portable it is. Joylo generates a conventional stack - a React front end, a Node API, and Postgres via Neon - with no proprietary client SDK. Moving the database is a standard pg_dump / pg_restore, and the app code runs in any AWS, Azure, or GCP account you point it at.
Does Joylo meet enterprise security and compliance requirements?
Joylo is GDPR-ready with enterprise-grade security built in from day one. It is not currently SOC 2 or HIPAA certified. If your team needs dedicated infrastructure, data sovereignty, or custom security policies, that's what the Enterprise plans are for.
Is there a contract, and can I get a refund?
All plans are month-to-month with no long-term contract, and paid plans carry a 30-day money-back guarantee. Upgrade, downgrade, or cancel whenever your stage changes.
